Thank you James for helping us with the purchase of our new home! The whole purchase process took 24 hours from the time we inspected the apartment to the time our offer was accepted. James was really professional and kept us updated at every point along the way. He showed a great deal of care and was very easy to work with. Even after purchase, James was very accommodating to let us in to the apartment to organise trade quotes. He recommnended trusted trades we could use and gave us useful tips along the way. For the months leading up to finding this dreamy apartment, our experience with other agents had been disappointing and frustrating, from massively undervaluing properties to get buyers through the door to the constant harassing phone calls to completely disappearing! The moment we inspected the apartment, we knew this was the property we wanted and prepared for battle to get it within our budget, prior to auction. We met James Garwood during the inspection and he was very patient as we asked loads of first-time-buyer questions. We immediately contacted Jane and James following the inspection to express our interest and put in a tentative offer pending receipt of the strata and inspection reports. We connected with Jane over our love of the period detailing in the building and the respectful renovations the vendor had done to retain the original 1930s charm, whilst having all the modern conveniences of 2020s living. A nerve wracking few days followed with lots of emails and more questions and one revised offer (still within our budget) before we received the best news ever that our offer had been accepted! The property was off the market and it was ours! We felt like Jane was fighting in our corner the whole time, we didn't feel pressured to increase the offers unrealistically, and Jane's calm and measured communication made us feel confident and assured we were making a solid purchase decision! Then the lockdown hit and we had to navigate the final steps of the sale in difficult circumstances but Jane stayed with in close contact, patient and supportive, and was instrumental in assisting in the final home clean and inspection pre-settlement, negotiated for some of the white goods to stay behind (at no additional cost) and even tracked down the NBN box that had accidentally been removed and had it returned to us.
