We had previously met Martin at other open homes. When approached about selling our unit, he was upfront about what he thought we could achieve in terms of a sale price. It was a considerably higher than we had been told by other agents and while this was a factor when deciding which agent to go with, Martin's experience and longevity selling property on the Gold Coast (20 + years) and his knowledge of the local market (including our building) saw us engage his services. He offered an attractive rate of commission and did not try to entice us into an expensive marketing package as he did not think we needed it. Martin kept us informed of progress and interest in our unit. He moved quickly to prepare a contract and to advertise the property on line and print a brochure and flyer which he distributed as an invitation to attend an inspection. Martin actively followed up prospective purchasers who had shown interest in the property. He worked with us and also our tenants in relation to arranging open house inspections. He took on board any comments and suggestions and was always quick to respond to our enquiries either on the phone or by email. We also benefited from Martin's extensive network of contacts as he was able to assist the purchaser obtain finance with another lender after their loan application had initially been declined. Throughout the course of the campaign Martin remained confident and upbeat that a sale was just around the corner even though, after one month on the market with seemingly minimal interest shown in the property, we started to have doubts as to whether this would be the case. In summary, while Martin comes across as quiet and reserved, we found him to be very professional, client focused and pleasant to deal with. We cannot speak highly enough of Stuart Reader of Harcourts Coastal Broadbeach. Stuart showed my husband and I an absolutely gorgeous stunning home on the Gold Coast at Surfers Waters Estate and also kindly took us back to our hotel afterwards as we had travelled interstate. We loved the home and Stuart explained and showed us all the workings both inside and outside and his knowledge was extensive and we could see how much pride he takes with his job. Stuart is definitely a warm and welcoming people person which we appreciated when considering an expensive purchase of a beautiful home. He also provided us with the name of a mortgage broker, David, for a relocation loan as the big banks do not offer this type of loan and this proved invaluable to us to secure this stunning home come auction day !
