I have been living in this property for almost two years now. The first year went by smoothly and I was satisfied by their performance, but there are a few hiccups nearing the end of my contract in the following year because the property was put up for sale, and because of that, they are no longer in charge of managing the property. There were some miscommunications during the open house times. I appreciate them giving me a professional response regarding my complaints, but I felt like my issues could be avoided if only they were more communicative and attentive to me as a tenant. It was harsh as I needed an urgent response but only received it after a few days due to it not being on weekdays. I wish there was an emergency number to contact in the worst scenarios. Aside from that, they had not bothered to inform me that the property is not in their authority anymore, and my maintenance issue is addressed quite poorly. They didn’t update me on how things are going regarding my issue and currently I am left with no bathroom lights for two weeks. They didn’t even come back to me and I had to call them for a few times in the past two weeks to be updated on the situation. I would appreciate it if they could provide a suggestion about how to alleviate my situation, or at least advise me about how their correspondence is going with the current owner without having to wait for me to ask them. After all, I’ve let them know about my issue with the property, so I believe that keeping me updated is the least they can do. I hope the other tenants are having a better experience and Harcourts can improve this aspect in the future.

Very professional agency that has a deep knowledge of the apartment rental market in Melbourne's CBD. They did smart, slick marketing for my property and negotiated a good rental income for me. They have generally given solid advice and managed my property very well, including on appliance faults and upgrades. Only downside is some of the communication around billing and finances. The invoices are hard to decipher, and there is not a clear explanation of charges or changes to rental income - even though these were all very much legitimate when I asked.
