We have just sold a property that we listed with Marty and we cannot be happier with the service we were provided. We have always been quite cynical about real estate agents and wary that they are more concerned about their own personal agenda than ensuring that sellers get the best possible deal. Marty completely challenged our views of real estate agents. We felt that he was open and honest in his communication and never made us false promises. However, most importantly for us, he never pressured us to accept the two offers that we first received. We had a particular figure in mind that we were looking for (based on current market research) and it would make little difference to the real estate agent's commission if we sold $20,000-$30,000 below this figure. What might be $20,000 less to us as sellers equates to only around a few hundred dollars less to an agent's commission. However Marty respected our decision to decline those offers. He respected our reasoning and never pressured us to accept a figure that wasn't acceptable to us. Ultimately, our property sold very quickly and at a price that we were very happy with. We couldn't recommend Marty highly enough.

I have pleasure in recommending Maarten Gravendyk. He was recommended to me by a neighbour as an honest, hard working man I could trust. With the death of my husband after a long illness, I was faced with trying to sell a badly neglected property which had also been attacked by white ants. Maarten was sympathetic, understanding & honest in his discussions & recommendations on how best to market my property. Maarty was given a hard time by my financial advisors, who are close friends and successful business people, intent on protecting me in the absence of my husband. Maarty liased with them and kept a steady stream of prospective buyers coming through until there was a choice of 2 negotiating to purchase my "renovator". The purchasers are happy and aware of the challenges ahead having been given full disclosure and I am comfortable with the outcome, given my situation. Maarten was such a nice guy to deal with for the purchase of my new home. He was very positive, professional and kept me relaxed through a tricky tenant situation.
