This is the 2nd time I have rented out my home. I had a really bad experience the first time, with both the previous tenant and agency. I was referred to McGrath by a work colleague. McGrath were extremely empathetic with my situation and were thorough in their explanations on how they would manage my property. That gave me confidence that my property would be managed well. They explained in detail how they vet potential tenants and how they manage the property and the tenant from there on. They were extremely courteous and communicative through each step of the process which assisted putting my mind at ease, particularly as I was in the middle of moving interstate. Ever since I handed the keys over, they have been very quick to answer any questions I have and the way they operate their business allows this to continue. I would highly recommend McGrath to any Landlord because they are knowledgeable, approachable and professional.

We have been with McGrath now for a couple of years and the agent has always handled everything smoothly. We have recently rented out another property (our home) for a year and in all the chaos we found the staff very supportive in our needs and finding us the right tenant. The agency also keeps us regularly up to date with any changes in the rental market. All in all they have been fantastic at their job for the time we have had with them.

It appears recently their service is not up to mark. Didn’t get timely response/update regarding my vacant unit open house status. I had to chase them every time. Too many teams to deal with. Property manager don’t know what is happening with your property, you need to talk to leasing team for that. Hope they improve.

I got my first rental in canberra through mcgrath back in 2015, they were prompt supportive and friendly with all my enquires, when i was approved for a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment they made my tenancy easy and no fuss. Fast forward 5 years having moved and been with other agencies im now back in canberra and mcgrath once again has helped me secure a beautiful apartment in a great location with the same fantastic service. I dealt with Kerry Robinson and the tanancy team. They are very helpful and responsive at all time. One thing that I like to see is a better induction process for new tenants before they move in to their new place. This includes an information pack of building managers, strata team and some basic inductions.
