PREAMBLE: Having lived in the one house for thirty years, deciding to sell my little home involved many 'firsts'. Firstly, I had to locate an estate agency - this led me to wander down to the nearest village Centre (one Saturday morning) to check if any Estate agent offices might be open. After locating two offices that showed no sign of a human within, trusting in the principles of 'Serendipity', I came upon the Lister & Cole office with a smiling young lade in attendance. So I explained the purpose of my visit i.e. to enquire about the process for selling my house. She happily took my details. The rest is history! Stewart called me later that day and arranged to meet me at my home the following Monday. On the basis of the information he provided, within a couple of days, I contacted Stewart to ask him if he would begin procedures for selling my house - which, it so happens, was sold within a month! In answer to the question of 'my experience with Stewart', it seems important to say with while I have lived and worked in many places in Australia and overseas, this was my first experience of actually selling a house that I myself owned. So I saw myself as a 'learner' in that process. Stewart was always available to answer my questions, while clearly 'leading the way', especially when, in the very first week of the sale, there were many, many people enquiring and wanting to view the house. Stewart reported back to me after each of those occasions. I never felt excluded from the process. The fact that my house was sold within a week of its first 'showings' is surely a credit to Stewart's knowledge and skill in the world of Estate, but also most importantly, his particular gift for engaging with people in a way that is 'client-focussed' in a genuinely professional way. I am immensely grateful to Stewart for his professional support and availability at all times.
