I need to admit my bias - until this experience I did not have many good words to say about agents. Sandy changed that. From our first contact she was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. She knew exactly where to position the house in the market so that it attracted the right people (ie real buyers, not tyre kickers), and she followed her proven strategy for an amazing result. And by amazing, I mean, truly amazing. $60k above the start price and $70k above what I thought the house was worth. So she knows her stuff. She is also a rare agent (in my opinion) in that she does not play both sides. At all times she was aware that she was working for me as the seller. This is not to say she did not provide good service and professionalism to the buyer, because she did. It is more that she did not go for the quick option to 'get it sold' but worked hard to achieve a result that both parties were happy with. One major thing that swayed me to sign on with her in the first instance was the flat 2% commission. This was clear from the beginning and so at all times we knew where we stood in terms of what our final 'net' sale price would be. It is a huge relief to have certainty in this area, as many other agents have addons and sliding scales etc which can be confusing and exhausting. Aside from everything else, she is a lovely warm person, so it's always nice to chat to her. She is a real gem.
