Why is it that real estate agents don't realise when they are selling property they are potentially pitching to a possible new client? This is why I originally listed with Hannan. The first time I met Hannan was boom time (over nearly two decades ago). Every other agent wouldn't bother selling me their property with the care and consideration like Hannan. He followed up constantly, he was never bolshy, he was always polite and courteous and he made a private appointments when he didn't need to as it was boom time (ie it was going to sell no matter what). He cared about my position and also protected the sellers position - no mean feat. Then I thought to myself - if he's going out of his way to do this for his client when selling, he'll do that when I sell. Case in point. Since our first meeting, I have given Hannan constant repeat business - he has sold five of my properties and a friends property all on my recommendation. All have ranged in property prices across the east. All were incredible sales prices and records. I even swapped back to him when I was selling out of the area as the agent in question couldn't deliver. Because he has strong relationships he always brought in the buyers where the other agents couldn't compete. Hannan is like family with us now, and I trust him implicitly. He never gives me BS, yes we have heated arguments but he is always a professional. You need to have a working relationship with your real estate agent, like an extended team in any business pursuit. Even when I wasn't selling, I've often asked for advice. He would tell it to me straight, even if it means no commission for him. This business is about relationships - both with the buyers and sellers. I don't know what else I can tell you to convince you to list with him, or buy from him. He's the genuine article, a clear professional and in a room filled with real estate agents he is the leader of the pack both with integrity, drive and results.
