From my initial phone call with Duncan the level of service and communication was outstanding. I live on the other side of the world and feel like I received the same level of service as if I lived in the same suburb. Informative emails providing regular and sometimes daily updates and always followed up with a phone call. Duncan's industry knowledge was spot on in terms of an achievable sale price and I ended up selling prior to auction with a sale result I'm very happy with. Duncan had left a flyer just after we bought 8 years ago and responded to our request to evaluate our house and what improvements were worthwhile. He then recently again advised us on improvements before selling and recommended a builder who r promptly responded and completed work. The marketing was impressive despite a difficult market. When we decided to sell our property in Darlington we approached Raine an Horne Newtown who had managed the letting since our son left the property some 23 years ago. Duncan Gordon was the Representative assigned, and support us throughout the process of preparing and offering the property for sale. I don't usually give gushing reviews for any type of service, but I make an exception on this occasion. Duncan has been an outstanding and pivotal ally in the marketing and sale of our property. He has gone the extra mile in providing us with comprehensive advice and related assistance. He remained steadfast in pursuing the optimum result for us, despite the property being passed in at auction in June this year (2022) in an environment of a softeneing market due to progressively and swiftly increasing interest rates and a gloomy economic outlook in a period of rising infation. We selected Duncan after interviewing several agents and he stood out at the start as a good communicator and very professional. Before we had even engaged Duncan he gave us the best piece of advice in relation to timing the sale and strategy around bringing the sale forward - thank goodness he did! It's clear we could not have achieved the great price we did under our initial plan and 3 other agents interviewed didn't mention anything. Right through the process Duncan gave good advice and communicated with us professionally, his team is awesome with a big shout out to Joanna who has been excellent to deal with also. Ultimately Duncan's advice and negotiation got us a great price within the window we were hoping for despite the rapidly cooling market and limited interest.
