From an optimistic start, to a market that was experiencing significant shift, this campaign had it all. An expected offer from day one. A buyer who was to deposit a significant amount....for 7 weeks. A local couple separating, with our property being the perfect option for one of the newly found singles. North Shore downsizers falling in love with the property but not being able to sell. ...and those falling in love without the funds. Throughout the entire marketing/inspection program, Colin remained focused and aware of the schizophrenic nature of the potential buying market...which included over 120 groups. Whilst our expectations (as were every other agent's who had been briefed) were higher, there was an underlying current suggesting the market was correcting. We even had to deal with the fact, our address was more Cremorne than Mosman! Despite all these issues, the campaign soldiered on with regular opens being complemented by many private inspections. Throughout the entire 10+ weeks marketing program period, Colin was continually engaged with every prospective buyer. He was most conscious - or sensitive to - the emotive state of potential buyers and retained a no hassle attitude so as no to scare potential buyers off. Eventually, the bait was taken by a medically over-qualified academically bent couple who put Colin - and us - through the 'ringers' over a final 2 weeks of negotiation. Ultimately we sold...thanks to Colin's persistence...and patience. We were also appreciative of being made aware, that despite our expectations, the market ultimately dictates the price. We accepted this sobering fact of realism. Whilst in all honesty, we were disappointed with the final price, we absolutely endorse Colin's selling and negotiation skills and, more importantly, his focus and non-wavering dedication to ensure we realised the best possible result. Moving forward, we have secured the house of our dreams in the Southern highlands.
