He seemed to understand the ramifications of the present market, and informed me, whilst also giving me a clear idea of the strategies that occur at an auction. Although I have bought and sold other properties, this was my first experience with an auction. I felt Mathew was generous in his communications with me by phone, emails and in person. I am a 24/7 carer for my 92 year old bedbound mother. This did not appear to make for complications with Mathew, who came to my mothers' home on several occasions. These visits were largely to obtain my signature on various documents, but also served as "get to know you" sessions. They seemed to be aimed at getting me up to speed and to prepare me for the possible string of occurrences which would or could take place leading up to the auction and beyond. It was made abundantly clear to me the possible unfolding of events and how he felt they should be tackled, with my support. I felt that he always addressed me with respect and with amusing anecdotes which made me laugh. There was no added stress, even after he had to prepare me for a possible drop in value, because of an overgrown Ficus tree. I felt that I had been duly prepared ahead of time. I need also mention the valuable contribution made by Nik Vidakovic in the successful achievement of sale. He was very attentive by phone, emails and visits, informing and reassuring me. I recently bought a home at auction for which Mathew was the agent. As a tyre-kicker buyer, I was only a lukewarm lead, however Mathew followed me up at each step - open house, post open house, auction registration (which I dragged my feet on), reminded me to get to the auction, guided me through my first ever auction, and busted his butt to get me over the line to achieve a result for the seller! Then there was the follow up communication - helping to organise insurance, rental management and checking in weekly to see if there was anything he could do to help get to a smooth settlement day.
