Having dealt with agents now both in Melbourne and Mornington Geoff provided a level of service, detail, knowledge and personality that I honestly didn’t think existed in todays in real estate market. Making a move from Melbourne down to the peninsula for a young family particularly as we didn't know the area, Geoff made the transition to date a breeze. Going over and above in every respect by showing us the local schools, parklands, cafes and amenities all while taking the time to answer any questions in the area in a personable and honest way was a breath of fresh air. Nothing at all was rushed or pressured. I was starting to lose faith in the process given my experience with most agents on the coast and their pressure to sell, they simply don't have both seller and buyers interest at heart. This is where Geoff differed and since meeting the previous owners it’s great to hear that everyone is generously happy with the process and result. What can one say but if you need an agent for either buying or selling, you cannot possibly get anybody better than Geoff Oxford. We engaged him to sell our block of land late last year. The land had been with local agents for more than 11 months. Geoff sold it in three days! At the asking price! We therefore engaged Geoff to find us a new home. Geoff put an incredible amount of effort into finding our perfect place. Nothing was too hard. It became fairly obvious that it was virtually impossible to find an existing house meeting all our requirements, so Geoff found a place, yet to be build, so we could modify it to our specifications. He also negotiated several improvements to be included in the price. Then we decided to sell our existing place, but with a very long settlement. The experts all told us not to sell during the winter months, especially not around the election. Geoff, on the other hand, recommended we did just that. He explained how he saw the market versus what we had been told by other agents. We decided to take Geoff's advise and list it late June. Geoff then organised the required maintenance. His tradesmen are first class. They fixed up the few things Geoff had recommended in a speedy and professional manner at a very reasonable price. The house was then sold after three opens only! In the winter and during the election! Let me conclude this long letter by stating that we are exceedingly happy we chose Geoff Oxford as our agent for both buying and selling. He proved the value of having an agent who does not have dozens of listings to look after. His suggestions before listing were spot on. His communication during the very short campaign was informative, and finally his closing was expertly done.

As a buyer, it was refreshing to speak to a Real Estate Agent selling a property who had a strong knowledge and realistic approach to improvements we were contemplating on the property we inspected (and ultimately bought). Whilst we have had a bit of experience in house renovations previously, it was good to get some experienced input from the selling agent on what was realistically possible within a given budget. I also appreciated that Geoff was not tightly locked in to a particular inspection time, so even if the opening was 3.00 pm - 3.30 pm, he was prepared to spend time with us, even if that meant we were still there at 4.00 pm talking through options. regards Stuart Knox
