I first met Jess Doolan in the wake of my sister's death when she came to my sister's home to do a free market valuation. As I live in Sydney and my sister's house is/was in Canberra (with the house being unoccupied after my sister died), I was concerned about the house being empty, as I knew no one living nearby who could keep a regular eye on it. Jess very kindly offered to drop by every so often to keep an eye on it, which put my mind at ease (and which I really appreciated!). She kept in regular contact with me, always assuring me that she was there to assist in any way she could. Finally, after about 6 months, I was in a position to sell my sister's house and was more than happy to engage Jess for this task, as she had gained my confidence through her excellent communication skills and positive manner, not to mention her knowledge of the local Gungahlin market. She never left me wondering what was going on, she always kept in touch and kept me informed during the marketing and sale of my sister's house. Jess really made a difference in the difficult months following my sister's death in terms of helping me manage from afar (and finally sell) my sister's house.
