Hi Tony I first contacted Tony about a year before I was ready to sell I was looking for someone from the area that knew about local sales. From that phone call I was confident that he was my Agent. We kept in contact till we were ready to sell and was so happy to have him sell my first property and then proceeded to give him another 2. I'll start off by saying Tony is a nice enough guy and was knowledgeable about the area we purchased in - but the number of accumulative errors and behaviour throughout our purchase process left us with a pretty sour taste. The lead up to placing our offer was fine, we had inspected 50-60 properties and put offers in on several before finding this house which we loved. So it was a case of the house selling itself. The initial contract was riddled with errors which we had to correct before returning; namely because Tony's handwriting was a mix of lOwEr anD uppEr cAse lEttErs. This made our names and even the street name appear spelt incorrectly. Our broker reported Tony making repeated calls requesting a document which had been sent prior to him calling. He told our broker that his vendors were "starting to freak out" among other things even though our broker had email receipts from his office confirming that this info had been sent. We felt this was pretty rich after he held an open inspection several days after contracts were signed and finance confirmed by our broker which didn't leave us feeling particular secure. He referred to me by the incorrect name even after being corrected, which ordinarily wouldn't be a huge deal but under this kind of circumstance it would have made me feel a little more valued. Then arguably the most frustrating thing was the key I was given on settlement day didn't even unlock the house. The assistant at the office admitted it was unusual to give someone a single key. Credit to her getting a locksmith out within an hour to let us in, but we didn't even hear from Tony until the following day when he sent a text saying he "found it mixed with brochures" and didn't offer an apology. In summary, Tony was knowledgeable and helpful answering questions but his bedside manner and clerical/admin work leaves much to be desired compared with a lot of other agents we have worked with.
