All was going really well with the sale until it came to the cooling-off period. I didn't launch a builder's report, when I bought the property three years before. A foolish but not, as we all discovered, an irretrievable mistake. If the situation hadn't already had a foundation of generosity, trust, professionalism and experience, when the cooling-off began, the sale probably wouldn't have happened.
