We purchased our home 3 years ago through Mark Watkins from Hocking Stuart Mount Waverley. We hit it off with Mark from day one! He’s genuine, funny and he’s truly passionate about Real Estate. Over the years we have kept in touch with Mark and often turned to him for Real Estate advice and we are always pleasantly surprised with his wealth of knowledge and eagerness to help. So when the time came for us to move on and sell our home the decision was pretty easy with choosing an agent. With our suburb being in hot demand and nearly every day having agents on our doorstep, business cards under the door, letters in the mail with footy tickets etc, we put our trust in Mark Watkins to get us the best result possible. And that he did! We couldn’t be happier with the result that Mark and the Team delivered. Put your trust in Mark, and he will deliver!

Painless
We all dreaded the selling of our family home. My parents had built our home & lived there for 60 years. Stuart made the process painless & simple.. There was no hype & I appreciated his very transparent process.

A Great Result!
We were very happy with Mark Watkins who handles the auction of our property in Mt Waverley in April 2015. Mark listened to our concerns and respected those kindly. He went out of his way, as we had to travel from interstate, to meet with us at an area outside Melbourne that was convenient to us to discuss the sale of the property . Mark was polite and considerate at all times.

Mark was the Man
Obviously as a vendor, a good relationship with one's agent is crucial. Mark was always responsive, accommodating helpful and worked at the relationship. He and his people did a great job of getting enough genuine buyers to our auction to make bidding competitive. Mark's enthusiasm is infectious. In an industry full of rhetoric and hype and where no one seems immune, Mark has an underlying ability to reach what is truly important for a vendor beyond (but including) a good sale price. Observing him as an auctioneer, which I did more than just for our sale, he showed an ability to read the bidders and make them feel positive about buying. This skill is not mechanical and process driven, but intuitive and in the moment. Auctions are an emotional game for vendors and buyers, and Mark exudes a confidence that deals with this. Mark from Mt Waverley and colleague Merelyn Bond (Glen Waverley) were a great cobination for us.

We made the right choice
I have no hesitation in recommending that you talk to Mark when considering to sell your property. When we first met with him we were impressed by his knowledge of the market in the Mt Waverley area and his enthusiasm re the prospect of handling the sale of our property. He proved to be correct with his initial thoughts on what types of buyers would be interested in the property and the result on auction day was outstanding, despite the fact that Mark as auctioneer was afflicted with a bad flu.

Great agent backed by a great team
I am pleased to provide a strong recommendation to Stuart Svec of Hocking Stuart. We were fortunate to have had an established relationship with Hocking Stuart Mount Waverley due to having rented out the property prior to selling it. Carmela Dimasi, our rental agent, assisted greatly with our transition from landlord to seller, highlighting the many little things we needed to do to prepare our property to ensure the best selling price, including the organisation of staging furniture (an extremely worthwhile investment for those who are unsure of its value). Stuart was with us through the four week sales campaign, and without fail called on a weekly basis to let us know how things were tracking with prospective purchasers. Unlike other agents who push for an early sale before auction so they can collect their commission and move on to the next property, Stuart's advice was to complete the four week campaign and go to auction. It turned out to be sound advice, given that the result greatly exceeded our expectations. On auction day, Stuart handed control over to auctioneer Mark Watkins, whose physical presence, booming voice and experience in controlling the progression of bids from prospective buyers ensured a great outcome. We were very fortunate to have had the services of Stuart, Carmela and Mark, and would highly recommend the team at Hocking Stuart Mount Waverley to all prospective sellers in the area.

The right agent makes everything go smoothly
I had been looking to buy property through other agents for a number of years but I just didn't feel I was getting the correct unbiased information. After I met Mark I was given correct honest advice and I purchased a place with his help a month later. The process was very smooth and easy and Mark is very knowledgable about the market. Happy!
Our family thought selling a house was all about advertising and commission and upon meeting Stuart and his co workers we realized the people really count especially when selling a much loved family home the agents can make a difference and Stuart Svec did.
