David and Craig from Century 21 were very helpful when we were deciding to list our family home of 36 years at Ferny Grove. Both explained what was involved in selling our Ferny Grove House in a very easy to understand manner. Quicker than we expected, Craig arranged our first inspection with some genuine buyers who possibly would be interested to our property. To our surprise Craig and David negotiated a selling price that we were happy with and we signed a contract in 2 days. They attained an outstanding result for us after only the first inspection of our property with a very quick sale. We settled the contract in 3 weeks which allowed us to retire to our Coolangatta apartment many months sooner than we had ever imagined. David Taylor of Century 21 had managed this property for me for approximately 3 years. I keep a close eye on the local market and the right time came to sell when the tenancy ended and the market conditions were right. I renovated the property to ensure that it presented well and to give David and team the best opportunity to attract buyers that fitted my selling requirements. As always David produced current market research and was happy to provide an estimated sale price range that complimented the research. My instructions to David were to achieve the top of the price band. I was very pleased that within a week I was under contract with a genuine buyer who was taken with the property and happy to purchase at my price. Overall David and team are always professional and from my investment perspective, comfortable with forging a long term business relationship. They currently manage other property for me and have conducted buying and selling transactions for me. We have sold property in the past so we have been through the usual high pressure sales tactics that other real estates employ and were dreading the initial meetings with Century 21. David and Craig made the initial meeting feel more like a discussion with friends and didn't pressure us in any way. They gave us a good price on commission and made us feel so confident in their methods and sales ability that we cancelled our planned meeting with another agent. We found Craig to be a wonderful asset to the company. He isn't listed as a sales agent, but I feel if David couldn't be there for an open house etc, Craig would be more than capable of handling anything that came his way. As far as our sale went, we listed on Wed night and had approx 5 groups through Thursday and an offer, then another 6 groups through Friday and another 2 offers. Of those 2 offers, David took the highest and negotiated a top notch price for us. The price was exactly what we had hoped for, but not what we had expected to get. We don't know how David negotiated the price but he did a fantastic job! He is very friendly, loves a chat and best of all, works hard to sell your house for the best price possible.

Persistence, persistence & persistence - That was the overall feeling I got from David and his team to assist us in selling our unit in Ferny Grove. We had tested the market at first in trying to sell as we had a pretty high price we needed to achieve in the sale and from this and Davids market experience we opted to hold for a little while longer which turned out to be a great strategy. In the end and with we got what we set out to achieve - an outstanding record price. In a very tough market, David was able to obtain the price we wanted for our house. While there was a slow start to the process in terms of interest in the property David advised us to remain committed and have faith. We did. David remained engaged at all stages throughout the advertising and sale process updating us as required on the market and the interest in our property. He was open and honest at all stages. I was lucky enough to come across David Tyler and Century 21 after meeting with another agency. The first agency I met made me feel pressured and daunted by the task of selling my first house and kept pointing out the features my house didn't have. When David Tyler came to my house to talk I felt immediately relieved. It was clear he knew the market inside out. He knew the kind of buyers that would be interested in my property and focused solely on that. As a first time seller I was nervous about selling my first house but David's friendly, honest, knowledgeable nature made it a breeze. He carefully went through the process honestly, step by step, in language I easily understood. He answered phone calls and emails quickly and clearly. The photographer David organised was highly professional and made me part of the process and took extraordinary photos of my house. David and his team advertised my house confidently and truthfully, focusing on it's positive features. I felt calm and in very safe hands. I was very presently surprised that though the first company charged a lot more money initially and upon the sale of my house they didn't know the market very well.
