We recently sold our family home through William and his team (Adam and Ellouise). Having started out with one of the larger chains of agents, we knew we were looking for a number of things from our agent. 1. they need to have a deep understanding of the market in and around Killara, 2. they would give us the best advice about how to present the house and this would be reflected in the marketing effort. 3. they had high quality trades available, 4. they ambitious for us and the price we might achieve, 5. they had connections and could readily access a pool of buyers, 6. they were hard working. We got all of this from William and his team. They gave us advice on presentation and supplied trades that delivered high quality work at a good price, including identifying and rejecting quotes that were too high. From the first showing (which was on a rainy day) we had 5 interested buyers from 21 groups that came through and who came back to inspect or ask questions multiple times. The campaign was very well constructed, and the follow up with the potential buyers was very thorough, even though the pool of interested buyers changed throughout. The analysis and feedback they provided to us was considered and accurate. Finally the guidance they provided in the lead up to and on the night of the auction was excellent. Proof was hitting the number we wanted. We didn't see any disadvantage to going with a smaller agency in terms of reach, professionalism and service, and with more to prove, we felt they were much more committed to the outcome.
