Having bought and sold a fair number of properties for some many years now (the last 4 with Ian) it is such a welcome change to deal with a bloke who not only knows his area but more importantly has an intimate knowledge of each particular street values within that area. His advice of where to buy and what the true property value is has not been common in my prior real estate dealings with a lot of other agents. A small increase in the selling price makes little difference to their final commission so they are generally advising you of accepting the first offer with their blessing just to get the sale. In the past I have often thought that your first offer is generally the best offer, but recently his advice to hang out for, in his estimation, the right value earnt me an extra $25 K which is not chicken feed in any ones language. Even though I could have sold several times over for the cheaper price, he keeps you in the loop. I feel therefore that I could recommend Ian as a no bull.... agent who from my experience works for both the buyer and seller in a very ethical and fair dinkum manner. Yes, I did say ethical and in my years that is a word that most estate agents can't spell, let alone know the meaning of. Sincerely Jon.E. Ponsonby
