Harcourts as a firm is good, with proper systems and setup resulting in consistent, clear & timely statements generated to clients. However, after being a client for so many years, I am very disappointed with the low level of your PR and overall poor sense of ownership& accountability amongst your property managers on their duties to their clients. They are also not proactive when comes to advising their clients. Whenever I need to contact the manager in charge of my unit (which by the way, is not often) I'm told to deal with someone else and within a few months, my file is transferred yet again but strangely, the prior people are still in office- maybe they just changed portfolios. There is NO handover/note to the next manager in charge on the outstanding matters requiring their follow up/ feedback. I'll have to establish contact, explain myself all over again so that they understand the current issue at hand, etc. I've also missed opportunity for rental review as a result. I've dealt with numerous good managers in the past, the latest is Darren Krause who is exceptionally good- very detailed, proactive & gives valuable & timely suggestions/ideas/views & he's also fast in response. It's really pleasant and productive to deal with Darren! But as I've also told him, I'm not sure if I'll be lucky to get to deal with him again the next time I communicate with Harcourts on any matters. As a client, I hardly contact and trouble my property manager, but whenever I do reach out, the matter at hand really needs looking into and follow up.
