About John

John Chapman Real Estate agency is the “new kid on the block”. Well, perhaps not a “kid”, being a former Barrister and Solicitor of some 20 years standing here in the upper Blue Mountains. As such John had the carriage of hundreds of property sales and a close working relationship with vendors and purchasers. And perhaps not that “new”—John began his Real Estate career some time ago. Initially working at Ray White Leura, then Wedd & Co. Leura, McGrath Wentworth Falls, Richardson and Wrench Wentworth Falls, and Century 21 at Blackheath. Then came a most enjoyable three or so years when John was with Jason Paul at Wentworth Falls Realty. The business was “expanded” to use the names Katoomba Village Realty, Leura Village Realty and Blackheath Village Realty. Then in 2017 John began his own Agency – hardly new! Operating on his own enables John to utilise all the above experiences but with the care and detail that comes from his legal background. John’s adage is that “Real Estate Agents are the Vendor’s Agents—not the Real Estate Agent’s Agent!”. John, a resident of the Upper Blue Mountains for over 30 years, created and planted out a significant “cool climate” garden in Katoomba. Experience with that garden allows him to advise on the presentation of gardens up here—that’s what the Sydney buyers like to see.

Proactive agent, informative and very helpful

John was a pleasure to deal with. He suggested we see this property when we were actually booked to see another, and we are so glad he brought it to our attention. He was a fair negotiator and was helpful in allowing us to gain quotes and understand the process. After moving in, he has still been a helpful presence to us and continues to provide insights about the local area and recommended tradespeople which has been delightful. We are very grateful to John for showing us this beautiful house which we now get to call home.

A true Professional with Integrity.

It was a pleasure right from the start to work with John Chapman when we engaged him to sell our house. He was always accessible and available to answer all our queries in relation to the sale with helpful advice. His communication style was respectful, clear and concise. He conducted himself in a professional manner with integrity. He also works very closely with his team with an open communication style - so it was nice to work with all the members of his team who follow his professionalism. John Chapman and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with.

We had a difficult house to sell. John and his team were always positive and professional. Their level of communication was excellent, and they were persistent and never shy to try something different. They had a great knowledge of the market and the different approaches to achieve a sale.
