I had two properties with LJ Hooker Belconnen. The one at Rice Place was badly mismanaged and has cost me the better part of $20 000 to put it right. I am still hassling with the insurance company (NRMA) over that. Some of the problems should have been notified by the tenant e.g. the outside downpipes and leaking hot water system but wasn't. The rest should have been picked up in inspections. The other property at Schaffer Place was in better condition and has just been relet. That is no reflection on the current manager Kelly Wilke who has only taken over in the last 3 months or so. The Federal Government didn't help by not allowing claims on travel to inspect the property myself. I cannot see how I can do a rating when my net income is obviously going to be a substantial negative sum.

They are diligent in taking care of my interests, done all the heavy lifting in property rental and are consistently polite and quick to reply to questions. Their review of potential tenants is very thorough, has always proven to be accurate and I have been very pleased with all the residents throughout the years. The ownership statements are well laid out, easy to understand and accompanied by all evidence of outgoings. I cannot comment on comparative costs as I have not looked for another rental agency. I have no hesitation if recommending LJ Hooker for sale or rental of a property.
