My unit was let for 12 months until February 2025. I received an email giving me details of a new applicant???They had rung me many times on my mobile phone - which I don't use - advising me the tenant was breaking the lease. Their usual contact was mainly e-mail or my landline, none of these were used.?? The unit was advertised for rental, with few applicants. I was told they thought the rail work caused this, and to drop the rent, which I did, even though the original rent was suggested by them and used. My daughter checked their ad and found no beach shown (only a back bedroom)! She laid out photos for them to use and it was let immediately. Their have been a few new tenants requests for minor repairs and these have all been attended to. The last one for repair to Rangehood with a charge to inspect some $90, which was done. When the repair quote was $583, I enquired who requested this be done. I was told probably the person doing the inspection. I have enquired now if it was the tenant and was told no. Why would you Agents want to incur an owner with unnecessary expenses?
