Zero Communication and no compassion.
My partner, myself and our two children moved from regional VIC to Metro Melbourne during the Covid lock downs meaning we were not able to come and view the property before hand. Problem 1. The property has an extremely steep drive way that we were not told about nor was it put on the listing and our normal non lowered Holden cannot get up it with out damaging the front of our car. This means our car has to be parked on the road, susceptible to damage and theft instead of locked in the garage. Problem 2. When I came to pick up the keys I was told by the property manger that she would get some one to do the lawns as they were extremely overgrown. This was on the 13th Nov, it is now 2nd Dec and we have had no contact regarding this, from the property manger or a gardener, despite me emailing and texting to chase. Problem 3. Upon moving in we found the ensuite shower leaked from the shower head and the drain was blocked whilst the main shower leaked from the door. The shower head has since been sorted but we had to unblock the drain ourselves and are still waiting to hear about the leaking door. We also found a broken, unusable blind in the main lounge window, lights not working and the extractor fan light is broken. None of these issues were communicated to us. Considering the property was vacant for 2 weeks before we moved in you would think they had time to sort these issues.
Since moving in we have had poor communication, every email or text we send is either not replied to or replied to days later and calls just go unanswered. No acknowledgement for the way this whole thing has been handled let alone an apology. What should have been an exciting time in our life has now tarnished by a lot of unnecessary stress.
