We chose Ray White as we had good experiences with them in previous sales and had a bad experience with another local agent who we swore never to deal with again. We were initially reluctant to go to auction as we were unfamiliar with the auction process and thought young couples, especially first home buyers, would be scared off by the process. We were comfortable to go to auction after the meeting with Brooke and Alistair who explained their current success rates. We were really pleased they were able to attract high numbers of people through the open homes and appreciated the open nature of the conversations throughout the process. We decided to use Alistair after a fair amount of research into agents within the Wilston area. Alistair was confident, but not arrogant. He clearly knew the area well and also what needed to be done in order to achieve the best result for us. Although I went into the auction feeling very nervous about getting the sale we wanted, I also walked in feeling like he was the best person to achieve it as he was thoroughly transparent with his communication, he was realistic about our expectations and his negotiation skills really came to light on the night. Trent has a welcoming demeanour that gained our confidence. His explanation of the current market in the initial discussions reflected his wide local knowledge. His enthusiasm and helpful advice just added to the professionalism of the marketing campaign. I have no problems recommending Trent to others wanting to sell their properties. Alistair is the principal of Ray White Wilston and he added the flair to the marketing campaign and he had the x factor I was seeking in that he lives in the same street of the home I was selling! Prior to engaging Alistair's team, we had discussions with 2 other agents and they did not present as credible as Alistair and Trent. We achieved a great auction outcome with Alistair as Auctioneer after a professional marketing campaign. It is important to note that prior to the very first OFI we had one excellent offer that was considered seriously and enthusiastically supported by Alistair's experience. However we decided not to accept that offer and implemented the full marketing campaign and subsequently achieved a slightly higher sale price.
