My fiancé and I just moved in to a wonderful apartment thanks to the team at LJ Hooker Belconnen. Initially, it was quite daunting finding a rental with long queues and quite a bit of competition. By chance we found this place and it actually felt more like a home than a rental. Julie and Effie were kind and knowledgable, which was really appreciated given we moved from interstate and this was our first rental in Canberra. The whole lease-signing process was straightforward. Julie talked us through some of the differences between renting here and in NSW. She is an approachable and understanding real estate agent, which can be quite difficult to find. Since moving in, all emails or questions we have had have been answered promptly and communication has been excellent. We both look forward to settling in and continuing to rent through LJ Hooker Belconnen. Overall, this has been one of the best real estate agents we have rented through and we would highly recommend them.

Canberra is incredibly difficult to get a rental property, I have been looking since November and it is now February. without the help of Julie Neal and the team at L J Hooker Belconnen I would still be looking. Without Julie's professional, caring and personal touch I would be completely lost.

Moving interstate Julie at LJ Belconnen was super helpful. I walked in for some advice on a Saturday and she was more then willing to help. Our journey with Claudia spanned over 2 yrs. During this time her assistance was invaluable and I can honestly say we would not have gotten through that period without it. Initially we met with several other agencies then Claudia. It was clear from our first meeting that she was very knowledgeable and was the best choice. Due to personal circumstances we made a sudden move to NSW. As we no longer lived in Canberra we needed an agent that we trusted to look after our most valuable asset. Claudia was very organised and always in touch during the process. Claudia found a good tenant and everything went well during the first year. Then the Canberra storm in 2019 hit our property hard. There were multiple insurance claims to be made which meant hours of phone calls, mostly on hold along with everyone else making claims. Claudia took care of all the insurance claims, organised quotes and tradesman. This was a long and lengthy process, masses of paperwork to which Claudia always kept us updated. During the second year we had some significant tenant issues. We had to go to the tribunal to obtain an order to have the tenant vacate the property. This was a slow process. No one thinks this will happen to them but even with the thorough tenant screening and the best agent, a perfect tenant can go awry. Claudia guided us through the tribunal process and handled all of the paperwork. She was thorough and in constant contact every step of the way. Claudia said to us on several occasions “Don’t you worry about any of this, I will look after everything and you just look after yourselves” Claudia went above and beyond on so many occasions and we cannot thank her enough for everything she did during her management of our property. Claudia is a genuinely caring agent who made the whole process run smoothly with what could have been a very strenuous anxious time. Once the insurance claims were finalised we sold the property through LJ Hooker which has enabled us to transition to NSW.
