Charles followed a great advertising strategy bringing, what we felt, was a great number of people during the open houses and securing a positive number of bidders. The day of the auction was an emotional time for us and Charles was a great support for us whilst also providing a private and comfortable environment for the bidders and, ultimately, the buyers. We were very satisfied with both the number of registered bidders and the end result. We received well over the reserved price and we left the experience feeling elated and highly satisfied with the result. The auctioneer, Craig was encouraging yet not pushy, which achieved a great result for us. I would not hesitate in recommending Charles Blackney as an agent and I would most certainly choose him again if the situation arose.

Charlie had been referred to us by a friend and from our initial meeting itself, he was professional, courteous yet friendly. Being new to the selling process, he made sure that he provided us with sound advice and kept us well informed throughout the sale process. As we were moving interstate, Charlie did everything possible for us to be able to make our move with the least inconvenience. He put in a lot of hard work in securing potential buyers before the auction with several open houses which helped us getting an outstanding result for our property. After a false start on our part some years ago Phil Rooke was willing to take us on again for the sale of our Defence Housing Authority leased house when the lease was not renewed by DHA. He had always been open and realistic about the prospects of the various options for handling our house and led us through the processes. He always explained the implications of the several maketing options and we were always comfortable with decisions he led us to. He had a clear understanding of the market and did not lead us to have unreal expectations. He knew all the players from lawyers, repair contractors and stylists and undertook to put us in touch and supervised their work for us. Notwithstanding his serious illness during the marketing time he kept us aware of what was happening and his assessment of the interests in our property and led us to decisions which we felt were in our best interests. We are very happy with the outcome.
