Karen grew up on the South Coast of NSW and moved to Canberra in 2002. Her mother Margaret Murphy was one of the first female licensed real estate agents on the South Coast. As a child she spent weekends helping in the office, and also worked as a property manager in the early 1990s at The Professionals in Huskisson where Karen’s mum was the licensee. Karen’s working career began at the State Bank of NSW in Nowra when she was 15 years old. When she was 17 she purchased a block of land in St Georges Basin, and sold it at the age of 21 for a 300 percent profit. She used the proceeds from the sale to build her first home in Sanctuary Point. By her late 20s she had purchased her first investment property, and so her interest and passion for real estate began. During her career which spans more than 30 years, she has worked in the finance, insurance and real estate industries. Karen spent eight years as the Principal of her own mortgage broking business, helping people to buy property and refinance their home loans. Karen’s specialty was advising clients with small-to-medium investment property portfolios. This wealth of experience has given her the necessary tools and maturity to help people like you to achieve positive outcomes. Karen understands that everyone’s circumstances are unique, and she genuinely care about the people and families she helps. Her job is to assist you to achieve your goals and realise your dreams.
