Recently selling my home of thirty years was a very emotional period for me. I expected it would also be very stressful. Choosing Michael Harris as my agent removed that stress. My expectations had been boosted beyond realistic through advice I had received from other sources. At my first formal meeting with Michael, those expectations were brought back to reality. Michael had a thorough understanding of issues regarding my property which may effect the result. He was able to educate me about these issues very effectively. I left that first meeting with lowered expectations, but a solid feeling that all would be ok and that Michael would do everything required with propriety. All of Michael's team who I dealt with were polite, affable, and knowledgeable. Any questions or concerns I had throughout the campaign were addressed promptly and to my satisfaction. Special thanks to Bryan Mahlberg and Melissa Grose, as I had most contact with them. All other team members though, were also exemplary. The result Michael achieved for me exceeded even my own originally inflated expectations. I can't thank, or recommend Michael and his team highly enough.

From the moment we started conversations with Michael, what struck me was his transparency and honesty. Any jitters were soon firmly diminished by his professionalism and manner. Special mention to his assistant Melissa - who made the whole experience delightful, with her get it done attitude. Both acted with integrity and a knowledge that eased us into what has been a spectacular result. Both my wife and I are quite frankly blown away, at what was meant to be a stressful time. Michael Harris and his team were absolutely the perfect choice for the sale of my property at 83 St Marys St in Newtown. His market knowledge was second to none, and he has the best reputation of any agent that I've met so far. We had a long and onerous 5 week auction campaign but Michael was there to update me with any important developments along the way. The communication was fantastic from Michael and his team and it's one of his biggest positives. In regards to sales price and negotiation, Michael did a great job. We had only one registered bidder at our auction which was a nervous situation for me to deal with. I was satisfied with the price achieved by Michael. I could not recommend Michael Harris highly enough. Everything from A to Z was done to perfection. You are wasting your time looking at anybody else to sell your property.

I approached Duncan to buy a residence in Sydney as I have known him and his family for many years. It is refreshing to see that the years have not changed the country values in Duncan. Thank you to Duncan and the amazing team at Raine & Horne Newtown for getting us a wonderful result on the sale of our house. This could not have been achieved without the hard work, dedication, property knowledge, expertise and great customer service we received. We live interstate so our property had been rented out for a number of years (through Raine & Horne Newtown) and it needed a bit of TLC to ensure our property looked its best for the auction campaign. Duncan's guidance on what we should and shouldn't do to the property was greatly appreciated. Duncan and his team sourced contractors and quotes so we had multiple options to choose from to complete the work . They scheduled everything for us and made sure all of the jobs were done on time and to an excellent standard. Duncan's marketing for the auction was spot on and guided us every step of the way by giving us quick and realistic feedback from each of the open homes. He produced weekly reports showing us everything from how many people attended the open home, how many people requested contracts, their thoughts on the property (positive and negative) right through to our daily and weekly website traffic from the various real estate websites we were featured on. In the week leading up to the auction Duncan made sure all of our questions were answered and gave us guidance and advice on the best strategy for the big day. We were very clear about what to expect and what might happen on the day. As we were not able to attend the action, Duncan arranged for us to view the auction live through the auctioneers website as well as had us on the phone so we could be there every step of the way. Whilst auctions are very stressful, we can't thank Duncan and his team enough for making it all run smoothly for us and giving us an amazing result on the day.

Overall we had a great experience working with Michael and Melissa. A couple of points stood out for us: - The tradesmen work was very well coordinated and managed. We were impressed at the timely manner that this was put together and managed throughout. The quality of the work was also great. - Marketing process could be improved. The photography was good, however the copyright/ content lacks the attention to detail and personal touch we were hoping for. The original proof read very much like a copy and paste job, with some inaccurate details about the apartment. We ended up having to rewrite a few paragraphs ourselves and overall the attention to detail was lacking. - Overall communication was great throughout the campaign. We appreciated the weekly updates from Michael - We got recommended Ann Kinghan as our solicitor; she was efficient at her work, however we also found her professional level lower than expected, e.g. she forgot to update us that the settlement date was moved. - Love the nice touch with the mailed printouts of the brochures after the campaign finished. One suggestion to take this to the next step is to provide a written (email/ printout) report of the process (total visits/ total contracts issued etc) at the end of the campaign.

Michael is such a professional. I have now worked with Michael as a buyer and a seller. And I do believe that he has both parties best interest at heart, although both want different things.
