Credibility, Trust and Confidence underlines our dealings with Matthew Smythe who we have known for over ten year. In that time and have now had three direct business dealings with him since 2011. The recent purchase by us of 3/4 Reed St went very smoothly from our visit to the first open house to the final auction success. While he knew we were interested he never pressured us to make pre auction offers as he believed the seller preferred to take it to auction. Thus, while trusting his advice, knowledge and judgement re his client we also had absolute confidence that if there was any activity by other interested parties pre auction we would be advised so we could participate in purchasing if we so desired. Previously in 2011, Matthew was our preferred agent who sold our property and was also the agent for the property we purchased. There was no issues with potential conflicts of interest in these transactions which occurred within 7 days of each other and we appreciated his openness in discussing this and his clarity in explaining his clear position that he always represented the seller’s best interests.
